OVERVIEW: Come join Sarona @ Bruder Horsemanship and shake off winter while getting a jump start to the 2023 riding season at the beautiful 80' x 180' climate controlled indoor U of M Leatherdale Equine Center/Barenscheer Arena! This Fundamental 2 day Spring Ground and Riding clinic specializes in Natural Horsemanship exercises and skills essential to control, relaxation, mutual communication, trust, and understanding between horse and human. We will focus on exercises that not only help access and assure horse human safety, but also helps horse and human achieve horsemanship goals, regardless of discipline. Emphasis will be placed on Natural Horsemanship and relaxation techniques for horse and human and correctly reading and responding to our horses body language and mental/emotional states. We will also focus on managing our human responses including our own energy, space, cues, and expectations for better success and a more mutual relationship with our horses. Whether you are new to Natural Horsemanship or are well along on your journey, you will go home with new insight, practices, and exercises to help you better understand yourself and your horse as well as ways to set you both up for success.
Sarona Bruder has worked and trained horses for over 25 years and has studied in depth the many facets of Natural Horsemanship and psychology exclusively for the last 15. She has ridden and studied under many of today's most influential horseman and women including Buck Brannaman, both Pat and Linda Parelli, Eitan Beth-Halacomy, Julie Goodnight, Monty Roberts, Lauren Barwick, Dave Ellis, Kalley Krickeberg, Richard Shrake, and many more. Owner of Good Horses to Good Homes, she believes miscommunication and misunderstandings are often the biggest factor between happy horse owners and riders and a one facing sale because "we just don't click". Since 2008 she has used her extensive horse knowledge and Natural Horsemanship training to successfully retrain and rehomed over 250 horses of all ages and breeds to help good horses find good homes after working to identify and help the horse overcome any underlying fears, vices, miscommunications, or simple lack of necessary foundation and trust. She has also studied horse and human psychology with Dr Patrick Handley (paramount in human science behind Match .com), Linda Parelli, and Dr. Jenny Susser.
Sarona can help teach you to read your horse's body language and managing personal energy to get the best results from your horse while minimizing stress, discontent, or being "too hot or too cold" using either excessive force or sending conflicting messages to where you and your horse both question your leadership. Whether it be your first horse, pleasure riding, horsemanship, dressage, trail riding, or hobby horse ownership, Sarona can help you learn tools to better your relationship, communication, timing, feel, mutual trust, and success with your horse.
